Are you interested in Fostering?

Silverton Cat Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our rescues are in foster homes. Generally, kitties stay with fosters until they are adopted.  It is stressful for cats and kittens to move from foster home to foster home. We are especially in need of fosters for teenage and adult kitties.

How Will I Be Matched With A Foster Kitty?

We will work with you to match a foster kitty to your needs, given your abilities and environment. It is remarkable watching a cat transition from skittish and scared to a trusting, flourishing members of your family. You don’t need to have previous experience to become a foster, just a love of animals and a willingness to learn.

 

What Are The Requirements To Foster?

​

• 18 years of age or older

• Household members in support

• Own or rent (with landlord approval)

 

What is The Cost To Foster?

​

Nothing! We provide all veterinary care for the duration of the foster period. We also provide any other necessary supplies including dry and wet food, litter, crates, etc.
