Our Story

Silverton Cat Rescue was founded by Vivian Palm. What started off as one very determined woman on a mission to help cats has now turned into a group of around 35 others wanting to help. Vivian registered Silverton Cat Rescue as 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and since September of 2020, SCR has rescued close to 400 cats and helped spay and neuter countless others.

 

Silverton Cat Rescue is a foster-based rescue. We do not have a shelter. Fosters are the heart and soul of Silverton Cat Rescue. Have you ever considering fostering? We supply everything you need.

 

On January 7, 2023 a fire destroyed our founders home. Vivian continues to focus on helping cats. It's her way of honoring the kitties that perished in the fire. The support received after the fire was amazing.
