Our Story

Silverton Cat Rescue was founded by Vivian Palm. What started off as one very determined woman on a mission to help cats has now turned into a group of around 35 others wanting to help. Vivian registered Silverton Cat Rescue as 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and since September of 2020, SCR has rescued and found home placement for hundreds of cats and helped spay and neuter countless others, preventing thousands of kittens from being born.

 On January 7, 2023, a fire destroyed our founder's home. Vivian continues to focus on helping cats. It's her way of honoring the kitties that perished in the fire. The support received after the fire was amazing.
